Both Deceased Students Revealed in the Ivy League School Incident as Authorities Persist in Search for Gunman.

Both young individuals who died in the recent mass shooting at Brown University were honored at the start of the week – amid a widespread hunt for their killer continued following the freeing by authorities in Rhode Island of the only individual detained in connection in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was remembered as “a wonderful, steady, devout, shining presence”, according to the Advent Cathedral in Birmingham, which honored her memory at a ceremony on Sunday.

Cook was vice-president of Brown’s division of the campus GOP group, the group said. Karoline Leavitt also posted sympathies online, saying in part: “There are no words. Keeping in mind her kin and peers, above all her mom and dad.”

The Second Victim

The other deceased individual was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his first year of studies at the prestigious university, his family confirmed.

His name was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He had big dreams of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a memorial statement.

The Shooting Incident

Nine more persons were wounded in the weekend shooting in the engineering building of Brown’s university in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Law enforcement reported late Sunday that a man aged 24 arrested in a police operation at a Hampton Inn about 17 miles from the university earlier in the day was being released.

“A perpetrator remains free,” said Rhode Island’s attorney general, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Sometimes you head in one direction, and then you have to regroup and pursue a different angle, and that is the current situation over the last approximately one day.”

Community Anxiety

Brett Smiley, Brett Smiley, admitted: “We know that this is likely to cause new worry for our city”.

The shooter began shooting inside a lecture hall in the building on over the weekend, shooting over four dozen bullets from a 9mm handgun, a authority informed the media outlet.

Officers that searched the inn found two firearms and magazines when the individual was taken into custody, as was reported.

The Wounded Victims
