Ex- Doctor Charged with Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
