Recent Oil Plant Assault Demonstrates 'No Secure Places in the Russian Far Hinterland'

Ukraine's unmanned aerial vehicles have struck the Russian Bashneft facility in Ufa, positioned some 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine, resulting in blasts and a blaze, per a source in Ukraine's SBU.

Strikes by Russia on Ukraine killed at least several civilians on the weekend and caused blackouts to sections of the south Odesa area, according to authorities in Ukraine.

Two civilians died within a church in the town when it was hit, as reported by regional officials.

In Russia's frontier area of Belgorod, a vehicle operator was lost his life by a drone assault, according to regional authorities.

Power Restoration Operations in Kyiv

Work continued on the weekend to repair energy infrastructure in Kyiv, after strikes by Moscow.

Power had been returned to over 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the biggest utility provider stated the main efforts to recover electricity was finished though some outages remained.

Air Defence Operations and Drone Jamming

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems neutralized fifty-four of 78 Russian drones launched towards the country during the night, the military reported on the weekend.

Russia's military authorities claimed it shot down forty-two UAVs from Ukraine over the country's airspace.

Cuban Government Rejects Allegations of Providing Soldiers to the War

The Cuban government on the weekend rejected American claims it has deployed troops to participate in the hostilities, while declaring officials in Havana "lack exact data about Cuban nationals" engaged "independently" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".

The government department in the capital said 26 nationals had been given prison terms to jail sentences from five to 14 years for mercenary involvement since the autumn of 2023 when reports emerged of individuals being sent to the front in Ukraine.

I Want to Live Program Discloses Data on Cuban Enlistment

The program, a official Kyiv project that urges adversaries to surrender, said in May: "We reliably know the names and personal details of 1,028 individuals who signed contracts with the Moscow's troops in 2023-2024."

The Cuban foreign ministry stated of Cubans who might be involved: "It is irrefutable that not a single one have the encouragement, dedication, or consent of the government in Havana for their involvement."

Family members of Cuban nationals who departed to Russia in the year told international media at the time that their family members had been deceptively recruited through promotions on online platforms.
