Three Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Award

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The show will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
