Trump Calls Relatives of Attacked Military Members to White House

President Donald Trump announced on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the family of a Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the presidential home.

He added that he conversed with her family and they were “devastated”.

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was fatally shot in a attack on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both soldiers of the West Virginia Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” the president told the press. “And in the same way with Andrew, recover or not.”

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s federal initiative to support public safety in Washington DC.

Officials have charged a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.
