Your Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign

This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the community. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to trainers developing strong opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly selected for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past official descriptions note their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this total queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of gossip to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently becoming wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to make a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Leo – Super Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the identical vibe a Leo offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this sweet, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the identical vibe as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
